More and more African American people choose micro braids, for they are invisible and small. And, as long as turn to crochet braiding technique, you can easily achieve this look. Here’s how to crochet micro braids.
.Firstly, buy micro braid extensions, loose bulk hair extensions or braiding hair extensions. And, buy a latch hook crochet needle or a latch hook.
.Wash and condition hair to prepare your hair for the crochet braiding process.
.Before proceeding to the next step, you should apply an ample amount of hair moisturizer to moisturize the hair.
.Plait hair in 10 to 12 cornrows vertically from the hairline to the back of your head in rows. Add more rows depending on the size of your head.
.Plait braids together by your neck to join the ends of the braids together.
.Starting from your hairline, attach the hair braiding extensions to the first cornrow.
.Take a small amount of the extension hair from the package. Alternatively, use the individual plaits if you are using pre-plaited extensions.
.Fold the hair in half so that each side is equal to form a loop with the hair.
.Place the latch hook crochet needle beneath your first cornrow. Thus, you can see it on the other side of the cornrow.
.Put the extension in the latch hook crochet needle.
.Create a loop with the hair by bring the latch hook crochet needle back through the cornrow. Place the ends of the hair extensions through the loop to form a knot.
.Knot the hair of the cornrow and tie 2 knots to keep it in place, securing the extension on the hair.
.Keep attaching the extensions near to each other to cover all the cornrows, achieving a full head of micro braids.
